Vendors Protest Government Over Holy Basil Copyright Claims

Protesters question the logic of claiming copyright over a plant used by villagers for generations.

Protesters demand that the government protect traditional staples rather than restricting them.

Discussion on how copyright claims could lead to fines for small sellers and disrupt the supply chain.

Warnings that restricted planting will lead to lower supply and skyrocketing prices for stir-fried basil.
