Police Arrest "Achariya" in Extortion Case

Police from the Central Investigation Bureau raid a restaurant and arrest Achariya Ruangrattanapong.

Achariya Ruangrattanapong, president of the Victim Assistance Club, is identified as the individual arrested.

The reason for the arrest is revealed: Achariya allegedly threatened to extort money from a former immigration police commander.

The case began in February when a former immigration police commander reported being threatened with a 2.5 million baht demand in exchange for withholding leaked information.

After gathering evidence, police obtained an arrest warrant and apprehended Achariya at the restaurant.

Achariya's residence was searched for further evidence, and he was taken to the Central Investigation Bureau.

Authorities are also looking for five other individuals connected to the case.

Achariya claims the situation is fabricated and he is prepared to defend himself.

Recent social media posts, including from the 'Big Joke' page, suggest further evidence against Achariya.
