Drug Smuggling Ring Busted: 'Blue Hoodie Man' Arrested, International Network Suspected

Introduction to the case of air hostess Amina, arrested for smuggling heroin into Australia. Recent developments include the arrest of individuals involved in delivering packages to her.

Police apprehended two individuals in a car who delivered 12 fabric bags to Amina's condominium on June 23rd. One suspect was identified as a Grab rider.

The man in the blue hoodie, identified as a Hmong individual, was arrested in Phitsanulok province. He admitted to delivering packages but did not implicate others.

The driver of the car used for deliveries, a 59-year-old man with a prior life sentence for drug trafficking, admitted to delivering packages to Amina on June 22nd.

Before delivering to Amina, the driver also delivered a package to another woman in Soi Suea Yai. The car used was later taken to a garage in Ayutthaya for windshield repair.

Forensic teams collected evidence, including fingerprints and DNA, from the car. Initial findings suggest possible cleaning of the areas where items were placed.

The driver claimed to be a regular rider but admitted the delivery to Amina was an off-app job, for which he received 1,600 Baht in cash.

Authorities are considering the possibility that Amina might be a victim of a larger international scam operation, though they are not ruling out her involvement.

The package was first delivered to a woman in Soi Suea Yai (Ratchadaphisek 36) before being delivered to Amina's condominium.

Contrary to Amina's initial statement, police found that the perpetrators transferred a total of 3,400 Baht to Amina for the smuggling service, paid in two installments.

The driver claimed to have received 1,600 Baht in cash for the delivery, but police remain skeptical about the details of the transaction.

The case has been classified as transnational crime by the Narcotics Suppression Bureau, indicating a large-scale international operation.

CCTV footage shows Amina receiving the packages on June 22nd and later heading to the airport on June 24th, dressed in her flight attendant uniform.

Chat logs between Amina and an administrator named 'Rose' reveal discussions about hiring Amina to carry packages, including 'elephant bags,' to Australia.

The chat includes images of fabric bags, specifically mentioning 'elephant bags' and their dimensions, sent by 'Rose' to Amina.

Authorities are investigating a couple in Loei province, where the husband claims to have transported packages from Laos six times. His wife, a Lao national, is being questioned.

The 8,000 Baht payment received by the Loei couple for transporting packages is considered unusually high, suggesting the packages likely contained illicit substances.

The investigation suggests drugs may have been concealed within various items, such as fabric bags, seat cushions, clothing, and even flattened into coffee or tea packaging.

The Loei couple denies knowledge of drug smuggling and does not know Amina. However, due to evidence suggesting their involvement in multiple drug-related cases, authorities plan to seek arrest warrants.
