Chinese Ex-Boyfriend Accused of Home Invasion, Car Arson in Thailand

A transgender woman reports her Chinese ex-boyfriend for alleged harassment, including home invasion and car arson, after their breakup.

The incident occurred in Phon Na Klang District, Sakon Nakhon, where the victim claims her ex-boyfriend broke into her home and set her car on fire, causing significant damage.

The estimated damage is 70,000 baht. The victim has filed three police reports but claims no progress has been made in apprehending the Chinese suspect.

Feeling unsafe, the victim has temporarily relocated to Samut Prakan and sought assistance from the 'Sai Mai Tong Rod' foundation.

An eyewitness describes the perpetrator's actions, including breaking into the house and setting the car on fire. CCTV footage exists, showing the suspect around the vehicle.

Video footage clearly shows a man entering the property, approaching the car, and setting it on fire, with baking soda also used on the vehicle.

The 'Sai Mai Tong Rod' foundation is coordinating with the Sakon Nakhon police chief to follow up on the case's progress.

The victim, a transgender woman, met her Chinese ex-boyfriend, Liang Xu, while working in the US. They later lived together in China for 7-8 months before breaking up.

After the victim returned to Thailand and got a new Thai boyfriend, the Chinese ex-boyfriend allegedly hired someone to investigate her life and began harassing her.

Incidents include car burnings on November 21, 2568 BE (2025 AD), April 2, 2569 BE (2026 AD), and April 4, 2569 BE (2026 AD), with threatening messages left.

Despite filing reports, the victim's mother expresses frustration over the lack of progress in the case and the inability to apprehend the perpetrator.

The mother reveals that the person carrying out the harassment is Thai, hired by the Chinese ex-boyfriend, complicating the investigation.

The primary suspect, the Chinese ex-boyfriend, is believed to be abroad, making apprehension difficult, while the hired Thai individual is the immediate focus.

The ex-boyfriend allegedly wants money back that he previously gave the victim, especially after learning she has a new boyfriend.

Police are investigating but face challenges, including difficulty identifying license plates and tracking down the perpetrators.

A separate case is introduced where a mother accuses a famous lawyer of defrauding her son of nearly half a million baht.

The lawyer allegedly took money for police bribes and bail, but the son ended up in jail, and the lawyer disappeared.

The son was arrested for a 'horse account' offense. The mother hired a lawyer who promised to help, charging fees for legal services.

The lawyer assured the mother he could help her son avoid jail, requesting money for negotiation. The mother mortgaged land to pay the lawyer.

Despite the lawyer's assurances, the son was sentenced to 1 year and 3 months in prison. The lawyer then requested an additional 200,000 baht for an appeal.

After the mother transferred the additional funds, the lawyer became unresponsive, causing her significant distress.

Contacting the court directly, the mother learned that no bail or legal proceedings had been initiated by the lawyer for her son's case.

The mother questions where the initial 350,000 baht went, as her son was still imprisoned, and the lawyer had guaranteed he wouldn't be.

After the mother obtained court documents, the lawyer contacted her, claiming bail was possible and requesting 350,000 baht to negotiate at the police station.

The head of the 'Sai Mai Tong Rod' foundation addresses the lawyer, questioning the purpose of the 350,000 baht and demanding its return if not used as claimed.

The foundation head warns that if the lawyer does not provide an explanation, they will help the victim file a fraud complaint.

The foundation head requests the Bar Association to investigate the lawyer's conduct, suspecting fraudulent intent.
