•Trademark applications reached 34,232 requests (up 8.67%), with 56% of applicants being Thai and 44% being foreigners.
•Invention patent applications totaled 4,901 (up 3.83%), petty patent applications totaled 3,090 (up 13.85%), and product design patent applications totaled 3,693 (down 2.51%).
•Oramon Sapthaweetham stated that the upward trend reflects that entrepreneurs, educational institutions, and creators value intellectual property protection more.
•The Department of Intellectual Property will promote copyright notification to provide preliminary evidence of ownership in case of disputes.
•The Department of Intellectual Property aims to improve application review efficiency, upgrade digital services, and promote commercial use of IP to increase the competitiveness of Thai businesses.
