The Home Builder Association provides a 7-point safety inspection guide for homeowners returning to their houses after floods.

•The Home Builder Association (HBA) emphasizes that electrical systems are the most critical point of inspection.
•Anantakorn Amornvatee, President of HBA, warns that receding water does not guarantee home safety.
•The HBA recommends a systemic process of Safety, Inspect, Dry, and then Repair.
•Expert inspection is required for electrical systems and structural damage before any repairs begin.

•Anantakorn Amornvatee stated that checking safety is more important than rushing to repair the house after floods subside.
•The Home Builder Association warns homeowners not to operate electrical switches if the house has standing water or unknown electrical status.
•The Home Builder Association recommends checking seven areas: general safety, electrical systems, building structure, walls and floors, plumbing and sanitation, doors/windows/built-in furniture, and thorough drying.
•The Home Builder Association notes that some materials absorb moisture internally even if the surface appears dry, which can cause mold or warping.
•Anantakorn Amornvatee warns against rushing to paint or cover walls that still contain moisture as it may hide and worsen underlying problems.
•The Home Builder Association advises using engineers or experts to evaluate structural abnormalities such as cracks or leaning floors in houses flooded for long periods.
•The Home Builder Association aims to share construction knowledge to help citizens restore their homes safely and reduce long-term damage.
