•One suspect wearing a red hooded jacket fired a shot into the air and jumped over the counter, while the other suspect held a gun to control the area.
•The suspects stole approximately 5 trays of gold before fleeing the scene.
•The suspects used a black Honda Scoopy i, license plate 2กฐ 1084 Chiang Rai, to flee toward Ban Cho Ko before abandoning it by the Mekong River near the Golden Mekong Giant Catfish point.
•Pol. Col. Rattawit Wasinpongthanat, Superintendent of Chiang Khong Police Station, reported the situation to Pol. Maj. Gen. Manop Senakul, Commander of Chiang Rai Provincial Police.
•Chiang Khong Police Station has coordinated with security agencies and officials in the Lao PDR and neighboring units to block escape routes.
•Investigation revealed the motorcycle was a rental, but the rental shop did not collect renter documents and lacked CCTV cameras.
•Police are currently having the rental shop owner identify the suspected renter to use as a lead for arrest.
